If you’ve stumbled upon this video, I presume you’ll be looking for Super Star Wars cheats. Don’t worry, I’ve got you sorted – While this video does look at the Super Nintendo version, I’ll also give you the corresponding button inputs for the Playstation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions too (although I cannot confirm whether they work or not as I do not own these versions, but they probably will work). Let’s get on with the show.

When you switch the game on, do not press anything until the main Start Game/Options Menu screen appears – At which point, you can input these cheat codes, and a Jawa yelling “UTINI” will indicate the successful entry of a code.

Let’s start off with a more mundane code – If you press A, B, A, B, A, B, A and B on SNES, or Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle, X, Circle and X on PlayStation, the game’s credits sequence to appear.

To unlock Luke’s lightsaber from the very start of the game, press Y, Y, X, X, A, B, X and A on Super Nintendo, or Square, Square, Triangle, Triangle, Circle, X, Triangle, Circle on PlayStation. You’ll hear a Jawa, and when you start the game, you’ll have your Lightsaber, as if your birthday came a little early.

On to the good stuff – The most useful of Super Star Wars cheats, which will give you everything from a level select, invincibility and a whole lot more. Enter A, A, A, A, X, B, B, B, B, Y, X, X, X, X, A, Y, Y, Y, Y and B. For Sony players, that’s Circle, Circle, Circle, Circle, Triangle, X, X, X, X, Square, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Triangle, Circle, Square, Square, Square, Square and X.

Whilst in a sidescrolling level, you’ll need a second controller plugged in. Press L & R on that controller, or L1 and R1 together on PlayStation systems. This will unlock the Debug Menu, allowing you to choose your level, chosen character, blaster upgrades, lives, health amount and more.

Also, you can skip any stage by pressing Start on controller 2, and in sidescrolling levels, you can hold A, B, X and Y at the same time, or X, Circle, Square and Triangle at the same time on the second controller to enter a proper Debug Mode which will display your coordinates onscreen. However, in addition, this will also make you invincible.

With these Super Star Wars cheats, you should have no problem taking down the might of the Empire and their dreaded Death Star. Or, if all else fails – Keep skipping those levels ‘til you get to the ending. It’s your call!
